MGTS Selects Quantenna for MIMO Solution

Quantenna Communications, Inc., announced today that Moscow City Telephone Network (MGTS), the fixed network division of Russian cellco Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), has adopted Quantenna’s high-performance 4×4 MIMO solution for its new GPON gateway. Thanks to the advanced capabilities of the QV840 chipset, MGTS’s gateway can deliver high-throughput Wi-Fi across the entire home to connect multiple devices simultaneously, and address demanding applications such as online gaming, and 4K video streaming.

Telus to Continue Deployment of PureFibre Broadband in Quebec

TELUS announces that it has been granted $31 million by the federal government’s Connect to Innovate program and the Quebec government’s Québec branché program to continue deploying its PureFibre broadband network in Quebec. This amount is in addition to the $13.7 million that TELUS has already committed to investing in its incumbent territory. By 2021,TELUS will have invested over $300 million in its fibre-optic network.
